VAP Island Caretaking Services  

At VAP our responsibilities are diverse and depend on the specific island and its needs. Generally our services involve maintaining the island's facilities, infrastructure, and natural environment. 

Our services might include cleaning, landscaping, security, drone scans using thermal sensors, and wildlife management. 

Some other  roles may also involve us ensuring facilities are in working order, reporting issues, and potentially promoting tourism and managing B&B/rental stays if the island is designated for such use by the owners.  

Our Key Service Responsibilities:

►   Island Maintenance and Upkeep: This includes general maintenance of buildings, structures, equipment, and the island's natural environment. 

►  Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintaining cleanliness of facilities, beaches, and public areas. 

►  Landscaping and Gardening: Overseeing landscaping, mowing, trimming, beaches, and outdoor spaces. 

►   Infrastructure Management: Ensuring the island's power, water, fuel, and communication systems are functioning properly. 

►  Security and Safety: Maintaining security of the island and its inhabitants, and responding to emergency situations. 

►  Wildlife/Pest Management: Controlling invasive species, clearning the buildings of insects and others pests.

►  Guest Services (if applicable): Providing concierge services, managing guest accommodations, and ensuring a comfortable stay for visitors/owners. 

►   Logistics and Transportation: Arranging transportation for guests and staff, and operating boats for transportation or research. VAP is equipped with a Transport Canada certified small vessel. 

►  Reporting and Communication: VAP does reporting of any maintenance issues, coordinating with external contractors, and potentially interacting with guests or visitors.

►  Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintaining cleanliness of facilities, beaches, and public areas. At VAP we are also involved with removing wrecked boats off beaches and repurposing marine plastics.
